July 6, 2008 – Maybe it’s not worth flying to England for but Walter Becker has a free track on his new album ‘Circus Money’ but it’s only for the UK release. The bonus track ‘Dark Horse Dub’ will only be available across the pond according to Sonic360. The new CD to be released on Monday July 14th can be heard here, www.sonic360.com/walterbecker. Becker who is one half of Steely Dan, along with Donald Fagen if following up his 1994 album ‘11 Tracks of Whack’ with this one.

Steely Dan Returns to the Road

April 3, 2008 – For a band that didn’t tour much in the 70’s and 80’s Steely Dan have sure been busy-bees on the road since their reunion. Donald Fagen and Walter Fagen amy be visiting you with their summer “Think Fast” tour starting June 8 in Hollywood and ending In Ottawa Canada July 5. The band’s last tour “Heavy Rollers” had the boys in Europe and North America for 50 plus shows. Becker is expected to released his second solo album”Circus Monkey” on June 10th. If your city is not listed on the tour itinerary don’t fret the groups representatives say more show are expected to be added to the new tour. Check out the dates below.

Cornelius Bumpus of Steely Dan/Doobie Brothers Dead
February 5, 2004 - Cornelius Bumpus who spent time in both the Doobie Brothers and Steely Dan has died. The saxophonist suffered a heart attack Tuesday (February 3) on a commercial flight from New York City to California. He was 58. His wife Linda said on his official website www.corneliusbumpus.com "Cornelius was a man of great modesty and simplicity. His life was music, family, and church. He never liked giving talks or speeches." As for her husbands heart attack on the plane she said, "Not one to want to call attention to himself, he would probably be appalled to know that the plane made an unscheduled stop in Sioux City to try and get help for him." Bumpus joined the Doobie Brothers in the early eighties but joined Steely Dan in 1993. Bumpus was also a member of Moby Grape in the seventies and had recorded two solo albums.
Steely Dan extends Tour into Fall
May 25, 2003 - It's their first tour in over three years and it just got longer. Steely Dan has just announced additional dates for their upcoming "Everything Must Go" tour that kicks off in Costa Mesa, California on July 23rd. Smooth Jazz radio stations have just been serviced with the first single "The Last Mall" but fans will have to wait until June 10th for the new album "Everything Must Go." So far forty dates have been announced with only one Canadian concert for August 14th at Toronto's Molson Amphitheater.

Steely Dan to Tour In July
April 9, 2003 - With the new album 'Everything Must Go' coming out June 10th Walter Becker and Donald Fagen of Steely Dan have just announced their first tour since 2000. Named after the album the 'Everything Must Go' tour will kick off July 23rd in Costa Mesa, California. Stay tuned for more details.

Steely Dan to Release New CD in June
Feb 17, 2003 - Word has it that Steely Dan has finished recording its new CD, Everything Must Go, which is scheduled for release on June 10, 2003. The set is the follow-up to 2000's Two Against Nature, the group's first album in two decades. Two Against Nature went on to win the Grammy for Album Of The Year and has gone platinum.
